ऋचीकस्तु महातेजाः पुत्रस्याप्रतिकर्मणः।
पितुर्मम ददौ दिव्यं जमदग्नेर्महात्मनः॥
ṛcīkas tu mahā-tejāḥ putrasyāpratikarmaṇaḥ
pitur mama dadau divyaṁ jamadagner mahātmanaḥ
ṛcīkaḥ tu = Ṛcīka; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; putrasya = to his son; apratikarmaṇaḥ = whose activities are unrivalled; pituḥ = father; mama = my; dadau = gave; divyam = this divine bow; jamadagneḥ mahā-ātmanaḥ = the great soul Jamadagni.
Ṛcīka of great prowess gave this divine bow to his son whose activities are unrivalled, my father, the great soul Jamadagni.
