Chapter 75: The History of the Bows of Lord Śiva and Lord Viṣṇu
Text 1.75.24

इदं च वैष्णवं राम धनुः परपुरञ्जयम्।
ऋचीके भार्गवे प्रादाद्विष्णुः सन्न्यासमुत्तमम्॥

idaṁ ca vaiṣṇavaṁ rāma dhanuḥ para-purañjayam
ṛcīke
bhārgave prādād viṣṇuḥ sannyāsam uttamam

idam ca = here is; vaiṣṇavam = of Lord Viṣṇu; rāma = O Rāma; dhanuḥ = the bow; para-purañjayam = that can destroy the opponents’ cities; ṛcīke = to Ṛcīka Muni; bhārgave = a descendant of Bhṛgu; prādāt = gave; viṣṇuḥ = Lord Viṣṇu; sannyāsam = in trust; uttamam = this excellent bow.

O Rāma, here is the bow of Lord Viṣṇu that can destroy the opponents’ cities. Lord Viṣṇu gave this excellent bow to Ṛcīka Muni, a descendant of Bhṛgu, in trust.
