Chapter 75: The History of the Bows of Lord Śiva and Lord Viṣṇu
Text 1.75.31

अद्य तूत्तमवीर्येण त्वया राम महाबल।
श्रुतवान्धनुषो भेदं ततोऽहं द्रुतमागतः॥

adya tūttama-vīryeṇa tvayā rāma mahā-bala
śrutavān
dhanuṣo bhedaṁ tato ’haṁ drutam āgataḥ

adya tu = today; uttama-vīryeṇa = of unslackened strength; tvayā = by You; rāma = O Rāma; mahā-bala = of great strength; śrutavān = I heard; dhanuṣaḥ bhedam = about the breaking of [Lord Śiva’s] bow; tataḥ = and so; aham = I; drutam = quickly; āgataḥ = came here.

O Rāma of great strength, today I heard about the breaking of [Lord Śiva’s] bow by You of unslackened strength and so I quickly came here.
