स त्वं धर्मपरो भूत्वा कश्यपाय वसुन्धराम्।
दत्त्वा वनमुपागम्य महेन्द्रकृतकेतनः॥
sa tvaṁ dharma-paro bhūtvā kaśyapāya vasundharām
dattvā vanam upāgamya mahendra-kṛta-ketanaḥ
saḥ tvam = You; dharma-paraḥ bhūtvā = having become fixed on dharma; kaśyapāya = to Kaśyapa; vasundharām = the earth; dattvā = gave; vanam = for the forest; upāgamya = left and; mahendra-kṛta-ketanaḥ = made your residence in the mountain Mahendra.
Having become fixed on dharma, you gave the earth to Kaśyapa, left for the forest and made your residence in the mountain Mahendra.
