Chapter 7: Mantharā Instructs Kaikeyī to Stop the Coronation
Text 2.7.9
अतिमात्रप्रहर्षोऽयं किं जनस्य च शंस मे।
कारयिष्यति किं वापि संप्रहृष्टो महीपतिः॥
atimātra-praharṣo ’yaṁ kiṁ janasya ca śaṁsa me
kārayiṣyati kiṁ vāpi saṁprahṛṣṭo mahī-patiḥ
atimātra-praharṣaḥ = are so delighted; ayam = the; kim = why; janasya ca = people; śaṁsa = tell; me = me; kārayiṣyati = is going to do; kim vā api = what; saṁprahṛṣṭaḥ = delighted; mahī-patiḥ = the king.
Why are the people so delighted? What is the delighted king going to do? Tell me.
