Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 7: Mantharā Instructs Kaikeyī to Stop the Coronation
Text 2.7.26

अपवाह्य स दुष्टात्मा भरतं तव बन्धुषु।
काल्ये स्थापयिता रामं राज्ये निहतकण्टके॥

apavāhya sa duṣṭātmā bharataṁ tava bandhuṣu
kālye sthāpayitā rāmaṁ rājye nihata-kaṇṭake

apavāhya = having exiled; saḥ = that; duṣṭa-ātmā = evil-minded one; bharatam = Bharata; tava = to your; bandhuṣu = relatives; kālye = tomorrow early in the morning; sthāpayitā = will coronate; rāmam = Rāma; rājye = [as the crown prince] for the kingdom; nihata-kaṇṭake = now that all thorns to His ascension have been removed

Having exiled Bharata to your relatives, tomorrow early in the morning that evil-minded one will coronate Rāma [as the crown prince] for the kingdom, now that all thorns to His ascension have been removed.

These are Mantharā’s arguments for how Daśaratha has cheated Kaikeyī.
