राज्ञा दशरथेनाद्य सपुत्रा त्वं तथा कृता॥

yathā hi kuryāt sarpo vā śatrur vā pratyupekṣitaḥ
rājñā daśarathenādya saputrā tvaṁ tathā kṛtā

yathā hi = just as; kuryāt = one would; sarpaḥ = a snake; śatruḥ = an enemy; = or; pratyupekṣitaḥ = keep away from; rājñā = King; daśarathena = Daśaratha; adya = today; saputrā = and your son; tvam = you; tathā kṛtā = has kept away from.

Today King Daśaratha has kept away from you and your son just as one would keep away from a snake or an enemy.1
