Chapter 14: Daśaratha Grants Kaikeyī her two Boons
Text 2.14.69

ततः पुरस्तात्सहसा विनिर्गतो महीपतीन्द्वारगतो विलोकयन्।
ददर्श पौरान्विविधान्महाधनानुपस्थितान्द्वारमुपेत्य विष्ठितान्॥

tataḥ purastāt sahasā vinirgato
mahī-patīn dvāra-gato vilokayan
dadarśa paurān vividhān mahā-dhanān
upasthitān dvāram upetya viṣṭhitān

tataḥ = then; purastāt1 sahasā = forcibly; vinirgataḥ = he got out; mahī-patīn = the kings; dvāra-gataḥ = and reached the gate; vilokayan = while noticing; dadarśa = he then saw; paurān = residents of the city; vividhān = the many; mahā-dhanān = with valuable gifts in hand; upasthitān = assembled there; dvāram = the gate; upetya viṣṭhitān = standing by.

The residents of the city had valuable gifts in their hands [to give to Śrī Rāma at the time of His coronation].
