Chapter 16: Rāma Passes Through the Grand Road to Meet Daśaratha
Text 2.16.12

प्राञ्जलिस्तु सुखं पृष्ट्वा विहारशयनासने।
राजपुत्रमुवाचेदं सुमन्त्रो राजसत्कृतः॥

prāñjalis tu sukhaṁ pṛṣṭvā vihāra-śayanāsane
rāja-putram uvācedaṁ sumantro rāja-sat-kṛtaḥ

prāñjaliḥ tu = joined his palms in supplication; sukham = about Rāma’s happiness; pṛṣṭvā = having inquired; vihāra-śayana-āsane = who was comfortably [sitting] on a couch; rāja-putram = to the king’s son; uvāca = and spoke; idam = the following; sumantraḥ = Sumantra; rāja-sat-kṛtaḥ = who had been honored by the king.

Having inquired about Rāma’s happiness, Sumantra who had been honored by the king joined his palms in supplication and spoke the following to the king’s son who was comfortably [sitting] on a couch.
