Noticing Rāma’s beauty and special decoration, Sītā became frightened in heart that they might be destroyed [by anyone’s evil eye] and she then prayed for His welfare and followed Him to the door. Lord Rāmacandra honored her by taking out a pearl necklace from His neck and putting it on her neck. And she was eligible to be honored thus because she was Sītā—born from a furrow, not born to any human; so she was eligible to be loved thus. Rāma always had her in His heart and unable to tolerate His separation, she followed her husband. She followed Him upto the place she was eligible [to walk to within the inner quarters].
