Chapter 16: Rāma Passes Through the Grand Road to Meet Daśaratha

ततो हलहलाशब्दस्तुमुलः समजायत।
तस्य निष्क्रममाणस्य जनौघस्य समन्ततः॥
tato hala-halā-śabdas tumulaḥ samajāyata
tasya niṣkramamāṇasya janaughasya samantataḥ
tataḥ = then; hala-halā-śabdaḥ tumulaḥ samajāyata = loudly applauded and cheered; tasya = while He; niṣkramamāṇasya = departed; jana-oghasya = the crowd; samantataḥ = in all directions.
Then, while He departed, the crowd loudly applauded and cheered in all directions.
