Chapter 18: Kaikeyī Informs Rāma About the two Boons
Text 2.18.34
यदि सत्यप्रतिज्ञं त्वं पितरं कर्तुमिच्छसि।
आत्मानं च नरश्रेष्ठ मम वाक्यमिदं शृणु॥
yadi satya-pratijñaṁ tvaṁ pitaraṁ kartum icchasi
ātmānaṁ ca nara-śreṣṭha mama vākyam idaṁ śṛṇu
yadi = if; satya-pratijñam = true to his and Your promise; tvam = You; pitaram = Your father; kartum = to make; icchasi = want; ātmānam = Yourself; ca = and; nara-śreṣṭha = O prince; mama = my; vākyam idam = to words; śṛṇu = listen.
O prince, if You want to make Your father and Yourself true to his and Your promise, listen to my words.
