Chapter 18: Kaikeyī Informs Rāma About the two Boons
Text 2.18.40
एतत्कुरु नरेन्द्रस्य वचनं रघुनन्दन।
सत्येन महता राम तारयस्व नरेश्वरम्॥
etat kuru narendrasya vacanaṁ raghu-nandana
satyena mahatā rāma tārayasva nareśvaram
etat = this; kuru = carry out; nara-indrasya = of the king; vacanam = instruction; raghu-nandana = O beloved child of the Raghus; satyena = adherence to truthfulness; mahatā = by [Your] great; rāma = Rāma; tārayasva = save; nara-īśvaram = the king.
O beloved child of the Raghus, carry out this instruction of the king. Rāma, save the king by [Your] great adherence to truthfulness.
