yadi hi = if; akāle = even before he is to die; maraṇam = death; svayā = by his; icchayā = wish; labheta = could attain; kaścit = one; guru-duḥkha-karśitaḥ = tormented by extreme sorrow; gatā = would go; aham = I; adya eva = today itself; pareta-saṁsadam = to the abode of Yamarāja; vinā = without; tvayā = You; dhenuḥ = a cow; iva = like; ātmajena vai = [without] its calf.
If one tormented by extreme sorrow could attain death by his wish, even before he is to die, I would go today itself to the abode of Yamarāja without You, like a cow [without] its calf.
This explains her earlier statement, “And certainly there is no untimely death for me!”
