Text 2.24.26

भर्तुः शुश्रूषया नारी लभते स्वर्गमुत्तमम्।
अपि या निर्नमस्कारा निवृत्ता देवपूजनात्॥

bhartuḥ śuśrūṣayā nārī labhate svargam uttamam
api yā nirnamaskārā nivṛttā deva-pūjanāt

bhartuḥ = to her husband; śuśrūṣayā = by menial service; nārī = a woman; labhate = attains; svargam = heaven; uttamam = the highest; api = even if; nirnamaskārā = she does not offer obeisances to the brāhmaṇas and other superiors; nivṛttā = and abstains; deva-pūjanāt = from worshiping the demigods.

By menial service to her husband, a woman attains the highest heaven even if she does not offer obeisances to the brāhmaṇas and other superiors, and abstains from worshiping the demigods.1

1 But she cannot refrain from engagement in the thirty duties common to all human beings as spelt out in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.11.8-12. See the note to text 12 in this chapter for these verses with Prabhupāda’s translation. These thirty duties are mandatory to all men and women in varṇāśrama-dharma.
