Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 26: Rāma Meets Sītā and Instructs Her
Text 2.26.16

न हस्ती चाग्रतः श्रीमांस्तव लक्षणपूजितः।
प्रयाणे लक्ष्यते वीर कृष्णमेघगिरिप्रभः॥

na hastī cāgrataḥ śrīmāṁs tava lakṣaṇa-pūjitaḥ
prayāṇe lakṣyate vīra kṛṣṇa-megha-giri-prabhaḥ

na = no; hastī ca = elephant; agrataḥ = before; śrīmān = beautiful; tava = You; lakṣaṇa-pūjitaḥ = glorified for its auspicious characteristics; prayāṇe = in Your march [to Your residence]; lakṣyate = can be seen; vīra = O hero; kṛṣṇa-megha-giri-prabhaḥ = with the splendor of a mountain surrounded by a dark cloud.

“O hero, no beautiful elephant with the splendor of a mountain surrounded by a dark cloud, glorified for its auspicious characteristics, can be seen before You in Your march [to Your residence].

Kṛṣṇa-megha-giri-prabhaḥ. If this word is interpreted to refer to an elephant whose splendor is like that of a dark cloud and like that of a mountain, it will lead to a contradiction [in meaning. So, the word means “an elephant with the splendor of a mountain surrounded by a dark cloud.”]
