Chapter 36: Kaikeyī Forbids the King from Sending Wealth With Rāma

कैकेय्यां मुक्तलज्जायां वदन्त्यामतिदारुणम्।
राजा दशरथो वाक्यमुवाचायतलोचनाम्॥
kaikeyyāṁ mukta-lajjāyāṁ vadantyām atidāruṇam
rājā daśaratho vākyam uvācāyata-locanām
kaikeyyām = when Kaikeyī; mukta-lajjāyām = shamelessly; vadantyām = spoke; atidāruṇam = these extremely terrible words; rājā = King; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; vākyam = the following words; uvāca = spoke; āyata-locanām = the wide-eyed.
When the wide-eyed Kaikeyī shamelessly spoke these extremely terrible words, King Daśaratha spoke the following words.
