Text 2.37.37

तस्मिंस्तथा जल्पति विप्रमुख्ये गुरौ नृपस्याप्रतिमप्रभावे।
नैव स्म सीता विनिवृत्तभावा प्रियस्य भर्तुः प्रतिकारकामा॥

tasmiṁs tathā jalpati vipra-mukhye
gurau nṛpasyāpratima-prabhāve
naiva sma sītā vinivṛtta-bhāvā
priyasya bhartuḥ pratikāra-kāmā

tasmin1 tathā = thus; jalpati = [though] had spoken; vipra-mukhye = and who was the chief of the brāhmaṇas; gurau = guru; nṛpasya = the king’s; apratima-prabhāve = whose prowess was unrivalled; na eva sma = not; sītā = Sītā-devī; vinivṛtta-bhāvā = did change her mind; priyasya = beloved; bhartuḥ pratikāra-kāmā = for she desired what her husband desired

[Though] the king’s guru, whose prowess was unrivalled and who was the chief of the brāhmaṇas, had spoken thus, Sītā-devī did not change her mind for she desired what her beloved husband desired.

Like her husband, she wanted to reside in the forest. [Therefore] she did not change her mind, that is, she did not desist from wearing ascetic garments and so on.
