Chapter 38: Rāma Requests the King to Take Care of His Mother Kausalyā
Text 2.38.4

सुकुमारी च बाला च सततं च सुखोचिता।
नेयं चनस्य योग्येति सत्यमाह गुरुर्मम॥

sukumārī ca bālā ca satataṁ ca sukhocitā
neyaṁ vanasya yogyeti satyam āha gurur mama

sukumārī ca = is a very young; bālā ca = girl; satatam = always; ca = and; sukha-ucitā = meant to be in comfort; na = not; iyam = Sītā; vanasya = for the forest; yogyā = fit; iti satyam = the truth; āha = has spoken; guruḥ = guru; mama = my.

“My guru has spoken the truth: Sītā is a very young girl, always meant to be in comfort and not fit for the forest.
