Chapter 44: Sumitrā Consoles Kausalyā
Text 2.44.13
यस्येषुपथमासाद्य विनाशं यान्ति शत्रवः।
कथं न पृथिवी तस्य शासने स्थातुमर्हति॥
yasyeṣu-patham āsādya vināśaṁ yānti śatravaḥ
kathaṁ na pṛthivī tasya śāsane sthātum arhati
yasya = His; iṣu-patham = the path of His arrows; āsādya = when they reach; vināśam = destruction; yānti = attain; śatravaḥ = enemies; katham = how; na = not; pṛthivī = the earth; tasya = His; śāsane sthātum arhati = can come under control.
How can the earth not come under His control? His enemies attain destruction when they reach the path of His arrows.
