Chapter 46: Rāma Leaves the Brāhmaṇas to go to the Forest
Text 2.46.15
सभार्यं सम्प्रसुप्तं तं भ्रातरं वीक्ष्य लक्ष्मणः।
कथयामास सूताय रामस्य विविधान्गुणान्॥
sabhāryaṁ samprasuptaṁ taṁ bhrātaraṁ vīkṣya lakṣmaṇaḥ
kathayām āsa sūtāya rāmasya vividhān guṇān
sabhāryam = and Sītā-devī; samprasuptam = had gone to sleep; tam bhrātaram = His brother; vīkṣya = noticing that; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; kathayām āsa = spoke; sūtāya = to the sūta; rāmasya = of Lord Rāma; vividhān = about the many; guṇān = auspicious attributes.
Noticing that His brother Rāma and Sītā-devī had gone to sleep, Lakṣmaṇa spoke to the sūta about the many auspicious attributes of Lord Rāma.
