Chapter 46: Rāma Leaves the Brāhmaṇas to go to the Forest
Text 2.46.14
तां शय्यां तमसातीरे वीक्ष्य वृक्षदलैः कृताम्।
रामः सौमित्रिणा सार्धं सभार्यः संविवेश ह॥
tāṁ śayyāṁ tamasā-tīre vīkṣya vṛkṣa-dalaiḥ kṛtām
rāmaḥ saumitriṇā sārdhaṁ sabhāryaḥ saṁviveśa ha
tām = on it; śayyām = the bed; tamasā-tīre = on the bank of Tamasā; vīkṣya = seeing; vṛkṣa-dalaiḥ = of leaves; kṛtām = made by the sūta; rāmaḥ = Rāma; saumitriṇā = Sumitrā’s son; sārdham = and; sabhāryaḥ = with His wife; saṁviveśa ha = rested.
Seeing the bed of leaves on the bank of Tamasā made by the sūta and Sumitrā’s son, Rāma rested on the bed with His wife.
