Chapter 46: Rāma Leaves the Brāhmaṇas to go to the Forest
Text 2.46.21
यावदेव तु संसुप्तास्तावदेव वयं लघु।
रथमारुह्य गच्छाम पन्थानमकुतोभयम्॥
yāvad eva tu saṁsuptās tāvad eva vayaṁ laghu
ratham āruhya gacchāma panthānam akuto-bhayam
yāvat eva tu = while; saṁsuptāḥ = they are fast asleep; tāvat eva vayam = we; laghu = quickly 4; ratham = the chariot; āruhya = should get on and; gacchāma = reach; panthānam = path; akutaḥ-bhayam = a safe.
While they are fast asleep, we should quickly get on the chariot and reach a safe path.
