Chapter 48: The Ladies in Ayodhyā Lament
Text 2.48.15
यत्र रामो भयं नात्र नास्ति तत्र पराभवः।
स हि शूरो महाबाहुः पुत्रो दशरथस्य च॥
yatra rāmo bhayaṁ nātra nāsti tatra parābhavaḥ
sa hi śūro mahā-bāhuḥ putro daśarathasya ca
yatra = where; rāmaḥ = Rāma resides; bhayam = there is cause for fear; na = no; atra = in the place; na = nor; asti = is there; tatra = there; parābhavaḥ = any defeat; saḥ = He; hi = because; śūraḥ = is the heroic; mahā-bāhuḥ = mighty-armed; putraḥ = son; daśarathasya ca = of Daśaratha.
“There is no cause for fear in the place Rāma resides nor is there any defeat there because He is the heroic mighty-armed son of Daśaratha.
