Chapter 50: The Meeting of Rāma and Guha
Text 2.50.27
अविदूरादयं नद्या बहुपुष्पप्रवालवान्।
सुमहानिङ्गुदीवृक्षो वसामोऽत्रैव सारथे॥
avidūrād ayaṁ nadyā bahu-puṣpa-pravālavān
sumahān iṅgudī-vṛkṣo vasāmo ’traiva sārathe
avidūrāt = not far; ayam = is this; nadyāḥ = from the river; bahu-puṣpa-pravālavān = with many flowers and fresh leaves; sumahān = very large; iṅgudī-vṛkṣaḥ = iṅgudī tree; vasāmaḥ = let us stay; atra eva = here; sārathe = charioteer.
“Not far from the river is this very large iṅgudī tree with many flowers and fresh leaves. Charioteer, let us stay here.1
