Chapter 51: Guha and Lakṣmaṇa Converse at Night
Text 2.51.25
अपि सत्यप्रतिज्ञेन सार्धं कुशलिना वयम्।
निवृत्तवनवासेऽस्मिन्नयोध्यां प्रविशेमहि॥
api satya-pratijñena sārdhaṁ kuśalinā vayam
nivṛtta-vana-vāse ’sminn ayodhyāṁ praviśemahi
api = will; satya-pratijñena = Our father whose promise would have been made true; sārdham = with; kuśalināḥ = in a healthy condition; vayam = we; nivṛtta-vana-vāse asmin = when Rāma’s residence in the forest is over; ayodhyām = into Ayodhyā; praviśemahi = enter.
“When Rāma’s residence in the forest is over, will we enter into Ayodhyā in a healthy condition with Our father whose promise would have been made true?”
