Chapter 52: Rāma Crosses the Gaṅgā on Guha’s Boat
Text 2.52.11
ततः कलापान्सन्नह्य खड्गौ बद्ध्वा च धन्विनौ।
जग्मतुर्येन तौ गङ्गां सीतया सह राघवौ॥
tataḥ kalāpān sannahya khaḍgau baddhvā ca dhanvinau
jagmatur yena tau gaṅgāṁ sītayā saha rāghavau
tataḥ = then; kalāpān = quivers; sannahya = putting on Their armors; khaḍgau = and swords; baddhvā = wearing; ca = and; dhanvinau = archers; jagmatuḥ = went; yena = on the path that led; tau = the two; gaṅgām = to Gaṅgā; sītayā = Sītā-devī; saha = with; rāghavau = descending from Raghu.
Then, putting on Their armors and wearing quivers and swords, the two archers descending from Raghu went on the path that led to Gaṅgā with Sītā-devī.
