Chapter 52: Rāma Crosses the Gaṅgā on Guha’s Boat
Text 2.52.52
प्रसीदेच्छामि तेऽरण्ये भवितुं प्रत्यनन्तरः।
प्रीत्याभिहितमिच्छामि भव मे प्रत्यनन्तरः॥
prasīdecchāmi te ’raṇye bhavituṁ pratyanantaraḥ
prītyābhihitam icchāmi bhava me pratyanantaraḥ
prasīda = please be pleased with me; icchāmi = I want; te = Your; araṇye = in the forest; bhavitum = to be; pratyanantaraḥ = in presence; prītyā = lovingly; abhihitam = to be ordered by You; icchāmi = I want; bhava = be; me pratyanantaraḥ = with Me.
Please be pleased with me. I want to be in Your presence in the forest. I want to be lovingly ordered by You, “Be with Me.”
