Chapter 52: Rāma Crosses the Gaṅgā on Guha’s Boat
Text 2.52.92
तथा सम्भाषमाणा सा सीता गङ्गामनिन्दिता।
दक्षिणा दक्षिणं तीरं क्षिप्रमेवाभ्युपागमत्॥
tathā sambhāṣamāṇā sā sītā gaṅgām aninditā
dakṣiṇā dakṣiṇaṁ tīraṁ kṣipram evābhyupāgamat
tathā = thus; sambhāṣamāṇā = while was talking; sā = the; sītā = Sītā-devī; gaṅgām = to Gaṅgā; aninditā = irreproachable; dakṣiṇā = who was favorable to her husband; dakṣiṇam = the southern; tīram = bank; kṣipram eva = quickly; abhyupāgamat = she reached.
While the irreproachable Sītā-devī, who was favorable to her husband, was thus talking to Gaṅgā, she quickly reached the southern bank.
