Chapter 55: Rāma Leaves Bharadvāja’s Āśrama and Crosses the Yamunā
Text 2.55.13
अथासाद्य तु कालिन्दीं शीघ्रस्रोतोवहां नदीम्।
चिन्तामापेदिरे सर्वे नदीजलतितीर्षवः॥
athāsādya tu kālindīṁ śīghra-srotovahāṁ nadīm
cintām āpedire sarve nadī-jala-titīrṣavaḥ
atha āsādya tu = after reaching; kālindīm = Kālindī; śīghra-srotovahām = that streamed rapidly; nadīm = the river; cintām āpedire = became worried; sarve = all of them; nadī-jala-titīrṣavaḥ = for they wanted to cross over the waters of the river.
After reaching the river Kālindī that streamed rapidly, all of them became worried for they wanted to cross over the waters of the river.
