Chapter 56: Rāma Reaches Citrakūṭa
Text 2.56.3
स सुप्तः समये भ्रात्रा लक्ष्मणः प्रतिबोधितः।
जहौ निद्रां च तन्द्रीं च प्रसक्तं च पथि श्रमम्॥
sa suptaḥ samaye bhrātrā lakṣmaṇaḥ pratibodhitaḥ
jahau nidrāṁ ca tandrīṁ ca prasaktaṁ ca pathi śramam
saḥ suptaḥ = who was asleep; samaye = at the right time; bhrātrā = by His brother; lakṣmaṇaḥ = when Lakṣmaṇa; pratibodhitaḥ = was woken up; jahau = He gave up; nidrām ca = His sleep; tandrīm ca = sluggishness; prasaktam = caused [by travel]; ca = and; pathi = on the route; śramam = the fatigue.
When Lakṣmaṇa who was asleep was woken up by His brother at the right time, He gave up His sleep, sluggishness and fatigue caused [by travel] on the route.
