Chapter 56: Rāma Reaches Citrakūṭa
Text 2.56.2

सौमित्रे शृणु वन्यानां वल्गु व्याहरतां स्वनम्।
संप्रतिष्ठामहे कालः प्रस्थानस्य परंतप॥

saumitre śṛṇu vanyānāṁ valgu vyāharatāṁ svanam
sampratiṣṭhāmahe kālaḥ prasthānasya parantapa

saumitre = Saumitri; śṛṇu = listen; vanyānām = by parrots, cuckoos and other forest birds; valgu = to the beautiful; vyāharatām = uttered; svanam = sound; sampratiṣṭhāmahe = let us depart; kālaḥ = the time has come; prasthānasya = for departing; parantapa =   O scorcher of enemies.

O scorcher of foes, Saumitri, listen to the beautiful sound uttered by parrots, cuckoos and other forest birds. Let us depart. The time for departing has come.
