Chapter 58: Sumantra Conveys the Message of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa
Text 2.58.1
प्रत्याश्वस्तो यदा राजा मोहात्प्रत्यागतः पुनः।
अथाजुहाव तं सूतं रामवृत्तान्तकारणात्॥
pratyāśvasto yadā rājā mohāt pratyāgataḥ punaḥ
athājuhāva taṁ sūtaṁ rāma-vṛttānta-kāraṇāt
pratyāśvastaḥ = had become consoled in thought; yadā = when; rājā = the king; mohāt = [sorrowful] delirium; pratyāgataḥ = he came out of his; punaḥ = again; atha = and then; ājuhāva = called; tam sūtam = for his sūta; rāma-vṛttānta-kāraṇāt = to find out about Rāma.
When the king had become consoled in thought, he came out of his [sorrowful] delirium and then again called for his sūta to find out about Rāma.
