Chapter 64: Daśaratha Gives up his Life in Remembrance of Lord Rāma

दुर्वृत्तमपि कः पुत्रं त्यजेद्भुवि विचक्षणः।
कश्च प्रव्राज्यमानो वा नासूयेत्पितरं सुतः॥
durvṛttam api kaḥ putram tyajed bhuvi vicakṣaṇaḥ
kaś ca pravrājyamāno vā nāsūyet pitaraṁ sutaḥ
durvṛttam api = even if he is of bad character; kaḥ = which; putram = his son; tyajet = would give up; bhuvi = on earth; vicakṣaṇaḥ = intelligent man; kaḥ = which; ca = and; pravrājyamānaḥ vā = upon being exiled; na = not; asūyet = would be indignant; pitaram = at his father; sutaḥ = son.
Which intelligent man on earth would give up his son even if he is of bad character and which son would not be indignant at his father upon being exiled.
This verse reinforces the two points made in the previous verses.
