Chapter 69: Bharata’s Distressing Dreams
Text 2.69.7
एवं ब्रुवाणं सुहृदं भरतः प्रत्युवाच ह।
शृणु त्वं यन्निमित्तं मे दैन्यमेतदुपागतम्॥
evaṁ bruvāṇaṁ suhṛdaṁ bharataḥ pratyuvāca ha
śṛṇu tvaṁ yan-nimittaṁ me dainyam etad upāgatam
evam = thus; bruvāṇam = who had spoken; suhṛdam = to the well-wishers; bharataḥ = Bharata; pratyuvāca ha = replied; śṛṇu tvam = listen; yat-nimittam = to why; me = upon Me; dainyam = distress; etat = this; upāgatam = has come.
Bharata replied to the well-wishers who had spoken thus: “Listen to why this distress has come upon Me.
