प्रतिगृह्य तु तत्सर्वं स्वनुरक्तः सुहृज्जने।
दूतानुवाच भरतः कामैः संप्रतिपूज्य तान्॥
pratigṛhya tu tat sarvaṁ svanuraktaḥ suhṛj-jane
dūtān uvāca bharataḥ kāmaiḥ sampratipūjya tān
pratigṛhya tu = accepting; tat sarvam = all of that; svanuraktaḥ = out of His deep affection [for them]; suhṛt-jane = gave them to His maternal uncle and other well-wishers; dūtān = the messengers; uvāca = and then spoke; bharataḥ = Bharata; kāmaiḥ = with desirable food, drink and so on; sampratipūjya = He then honored; tān = to them [as follows].
Accepting all of that, Bharata gave them to His maternal uncle and other well-wishers out of His deep affection [for them]. He then honored the messengers with desirable food, drink and so on, and then spoke to them [as follows].1
1 Sampratipūjya indicates that He reciprocated by respecting them.
