Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 70: Bharata Departs from Rājagṛha
Text 2.70.7
कच्चित्सुकुशली राजा पिता दशरथो मम।
कच्चिच्चारोगता रामे लक्ष्मणे च महात्मनि॥
kaccit sukuśalī rājā pitā daśaratho mama
kaccic cārogatā rāme lakṣmaṇe ca mahātmani
kaccit = is; sukuśalī = very well; rājā = King; pitā = father; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; mama = My; kaccit ca = are; arogatā = healthy; rāme = Rāma; lakṣmaṇe = Lakṣmaṇa; ca = and; mahā-ātmani = the great souls.
Is My father King Daśaratha very well? Are the great souls Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa healthy?
In some manuscripts kaccic cārogyatā appears instead of kaccic cārogatā. [There is no difference in the meaning, though.]
