बलेन गुप्तो भरतो महात्मा सहार्यकस्यात्मसमैरमात्यैः।
आदाय शत्रुघ्नमपेतशत्रुर्गृहाद्ययौ सिद्ध इवेन्द्रलोकात्॥

ādāya śatrughnam apeta-śatrur
gṛhād yayau siddha ivendralokāt
balena = by an army; guptaḥ = was protected; bharataḥ = Bharata; mahā-ātmā = and was greatly tolerant; saha = by; āryakasya = and who belonged to His noble maternal grandfather; ātma-samaiḥ = who were equal to Him; amātyaiḥ = ministers; ādāya = He took; śatrughnam = Śatrughna with Him; apeta-śatruḥ = without any difficulty; gṛhāt = from His house; yayau = and departed; siddhaḥ = a siddha [leaves]; iva = just as; indralokāt = Indraloka [without any difficulty].
Bharata was protected by an army and was greatly tolerant. He was accompanied by ministers who were equal to Him and who belonged to His noble maternal grandfather. He took Śatrughna with Him and departed from His house without any difficulty just as a siddha [leaves] Indraloka [without any difficulty].
