Chapter 71: Bharata Reaches Ayodhyā
Text 2.71.6

वेगिनीं च कुलिङ्गाख्यां ह्लादिनीं पर्वतावृताम्।
यमुनां प्राप्य संतीर्णो बलमाश्वासयत्तदा॥

veginīṁ ca kuliṅgākhyāṁ hlādinīṁ parvatāvṛtām
yamunāṁ prāpya santīrṇo balam āśvāsayat tadā

veginīm = the swift; ca = and; kuliṅga-ākhyām = river named Kuliṅga; hlādinīm = delighting; parvata-āvṛtām = that was surrounded by mountains; yamunām = and Yamunā; prāpya = when He reached; santīrṇaḥ = He crossed [the rivers]; balam = His army; āśvāsayat = consoled; tadā = and.

When He reached the swift and delighting river named Kuliṅgā that was surrounded by mountains and Yamunā, He crossed [the rivers] and consoled His army.

The army was disturbed by the heat of the afternoon sun, [but] Bharata consoled the army.
