Text 2.71.30

अनिष्टानि च पापानि पश्यामि विविधानि च।
निमित्तान्यमनोज्ञानि तेन सीदति मे मनः॥

aniṣṭāni ca pāpāni paśyāmi vividhāni ca
nimittāny amanojñāni tena sīdati me manaḥ

aniṣṭāni ca = that indicate the undesired; pāpāni = cruel 3; paśyāmi = I see; vividhāni = several inauspicious; ca = and; nimittāni = omens; amanojñāni = distressing; tena = therefore; sīdati = is dejected; me = My; manaḥ = mind.

I see several inauspicious, cruel and distressing omens that indicate the undesired. Therefore, My mind is dejected.

Amanojñāni indicates that simply by seeing these omens, one became distressed. The omens Bharata referred to here were the roar of the female jackals and so on.
