Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 74: Bharata Condemns Kaikeyī
Text 2.74.16

तावर्धदिवसे श्रान्तौ पुत्रौ दृष्ट्वा महीतले।
रुरोद पुत्रशोकेन बाष्पपर्याकुलेक्षणा॥

tāv ardha-divase śrāntau putrau dṛṣṭvā mahī-tale
ruroda putra-śokena bāṣpa-paryākulekṣaṇā

tau = those; ardha-divase = at midday; śrāntau = fatigued; putrau = two sons; dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing; mahī-tale = on the ground; ruroda = and she cried; putra-śokena = in distress about them; bāṣpa-paryākula-īkṣaṇā = her eyes became filled with tears.

Upon seeing those two sons fatigued on the ground at midday, her eyes became filled with tears and she cried in distress about them.

In some manuscripts, ardha-divasam appears instead of ardha-divase indicating that [the two bulls had worked] till midday.
