Chapter 83: Bharata Reaches Śṛṅgiberapura
Text 2.83.22
निरीक्ष्यानुगतां सेनां तां च गङ्गां शिवोदकाम्।
भरतः सचिवान्सर्वानब्रवीद्वाक्यकोविदः॥
nirīkṣyānugatāṁ senāṁ tāṁ ca gaṅgāṁ śivodakām
bharataḥ sacivān sarvān abravīd vākya-kovidaḥ
nirīkṣya = observed; anugatām = that had followed Him; senām tām = the army; ca = and; gaṅgām = Gaṅgā; śiva-udakām = of auspicious waters; bharataḥ = Bharata; sacivān = of His secretaries [as follows]; sarvān = to all; abravīt = He then spoke; vākya-kovidaḥ = being expert in speech.
Bharata observed the army that had followed Him and Gaṅgā of auspicious waters. Then, being expert in speech, He spoke to all of His secretaries [as follows].
