Chapter 84: Guha Meets Bharata
Text 2.84.1
ततो निविष्टां ध्वजिनीं गङ्गामन्वाश्रितां नदीम्।
निषादराजो दृष्ट्वैव ज्ञातीन्संत्वरितोऽब्रवीत्॥
tato niviṣṭāṁ dhvajinīṁ gaṅgām anvāśritāṁ nadīm
niṣāda-rājo dṛṣṭvaiva jñātīn santvarito ’bravīt
tataḥ = as soon as; niviṣṭām = that had arrived; dhvajinīm = the army; gaṅgām = Gaṅgā; anvāśritām = and camped; nadīm = by the river; niṣāda-rājaḥ = the king of niṣādas; dṛṣṭvā eva = noticed; jñātīn = to his relatives as follows; santvaritaḥ = he became agitated; abravīt = and spoke.
As soon as the king of the niṣādas noticed the army that had arrived and camped by the river Gaṅgā, he became agitated and spoke to his relatives as follows.
