Chapter 85: Bharata Reveals His Intentions to Guha
Text 2.85.1
एवमुक्तस्तु भरतो निषादाधिपतिं गुहम्।
प्रत्युवाच महाप्राज्ञो वाक्यं हेत्वर्थसंहितम्॥
evam uktas tu bharato niṣādādhipatiṁ guham
pratyuvāca mahā-prājño vākyaṁ hetv-artha-saṁhitam
evam = thus; uktaḥ tu = upon being addressed; bharataḥ = Bharata; niṣāda-adhipatim = the ruler of the niṣādas; guham = to Guha; pratyuvāca = replied; mahā-prājñaḥ = the greatly intelligent; vākyam = with words; hetu-artha-saṁhitam = that revealed His reasons and purposes.
Upon being addressed thus, the greatly intelligent Bharata replied to Guha, the ruler of the niṣādas, with words that revealed His reasons and purposes.
