Chapter 85: Bharata Reveals His Intentions to Guha
Text 2.85.3
इत्युक्त्वा तु महातेजा गुहं वचनमुत्तमम्।
अब्रवीद्भरतः श्रीमान्निषादाधिपतिं पुनः॥
ity uktvā tu mahā-tejā guhaṁ vacanam uttamam
abravīd bharataḥ śrīmān niṣādādhipatiṁ punaḥ
iti uktvā = having spoken these; tu mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; guham = to Guha; vacanam = words; uttamam = excellent; abravīt = spoke; bharataḥ = Bharata; śrīmān = the handsome; niṣāda-adhipatim = the ruler of the niṣādas [as follows]; punaḥ = again.
Having spoken these excellent words, the handsome Bharata of great prowess again spoke to Guha, the ruler of the niṣādas, [as follows].

“Of great prowess” indicates that Bharata was grave. “Excellent” words indicates that all of His desires were [already] fulfilled for He expressed His satisfaction [with Guha] simply because of [Guha’s] endeavor to honor [His army]. “Handsome” indicates that Bharata was joyful at that moment.1
