Chapter 86: Guha Relates Rāma’s Pastimes on the Bank of Gaṅgā
Text 2.86.22
अपि सत्यप्रतिज्ञेन सार्धं कुशलिना वयम्।
निवृत्ते समये ह्यस्मिन्सुखिताः प्रविशेमहि॥
api satya-pratijñena sārdhaṁ kuśalinā vayam
nivṛtte samaye hy asmin sukhitāḥ praviśemahi
api = will; satya-pratijñena = and true to His promise; sārdham kuśalinā = with Rāma who is competent; vayam = we; nivṛtte samaye hi = after fulfilling the promise; asmin = that city; sukhitāḥ = happily; praviśemahi = enter.
After fulfilling the promise, will we happily enter that city with Rāma who is competent and true to His promise?
Rāma [will be] true to His promise to spend [the promised period of time] residing in the forest.
