Chapter 90: Bharata Meets Bharadvāja Ṛṣi
Text 2.90.19
वसिष्ठादिभिर्ऋत्विग्भिर्याचितो भगवांस्ततः।
उवाच तं भरद्वाजः प्रसादाद्भरतं वचः॥
vasiṣṭhādibhir ṛtvigbhir yācito bhagavāṁs tataḥ
uvāca taṁ bharadvājaḥ prasādād bharataṁ vacaḥ
vasiṣṭha-ādibhiḥ ṛtvigbhiḥ = by Vasiṣṭha and other officiating priests; yācitaḥ = beseeched; bhagavān = the powerful; tataḥ = then; uvāca = spoke; tam = Him; bharadvājaḥ = Bharadvāja; prasādāt = in happiness; bharatam = Bharata; vacaḥ = the following words.
Then, beseeched by Vasiṣṭha and other officiating priests, the powerful Bharadvāja spoke the following words to Bharata in happiness.
[Vasiṣṭha and other officiating priests] beseeched Bharadvāja to favor Bharata and therefore he spoke to Him in happiness.
