Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 91: Bharadvāja’s Hospitality to Bharata, His Army and Family
Text 2.91.2

अब्रवीद्भरतस्त्वेनं नन्विदं भवता कृतम्।
पाद्यमर्घ्यं तथातिथ्यं वने यदुपपद्यते॥

abravīd bharatas tv enaṁ nanv idaṁ bhavatā kṛtam
pādyam arghyaṁ tathātithyaṁ vane yad upapadyate

abravīt = told; bharataḥ tu = Bharata; enam = him; nanu idam bhavatā kṛtam = you have already been; pādyam = water for washing; arghyam = arghya water; tathā = and; ātithyam = hospitable by giving us; vane = in the forest; yat = that which is; upapadyate = available.

Bharata told Him, “You have already been hospitable by giving us arghya water, water for washing and that which is available in the forest.”

“That which is available in the forest” indicates that Bharata had been given fruits, roots and other foodstuffs eaten by ascetics. Bharata implies here that He was satisfied with this much of hospitality [from the sage].
