Chapter 91: Bharadvāja’s Hospitality to Bharata, His Army and Family
Text 2.91.63

प्रेष्याश्चेट्यश्च वध्वश्च बलस्थाश्च सहस्रशः।
बभूवुस्ते भृशं दृप्ताः सर्वे चाहतवाससः॥

preṣyāś ceṭyaś ca vadhvaś ca balasthāś ca sahasraśaḥ
babhūvus te bhṛśaṁ dṛptāḥ sarve cāhata-vāsasaḥ

preṣyāḥ = servants; ceṭyaḥ ca = maidservants; vadhvaḥ ca = wives of the warriors; balasthāḥ ca = and army personnel; sahasraśaḥ = thousands of; babhūvuḥ = became; te = them; bhṛśam = extremely; dṛptāḥ = proud; sarve ca = all of; ahata-vāsasaḥ = were dressed in new clothes.

Thousands of servants, maidservants, wives of the warriors and army personnel became extremely proud of themselves. All of them were dressed in new clothes.

“Army personnel” here refers to everyone [in the army].
