Text 2.91.64
कुञ्जराश्च खरोष्ट्राश्च गोऽश्वाश्च मृगपक्षिणः।
बभूवुः सुभृतास्तत्र नान्यो ह्यन्यमकल्पयत्॥
kuñjarāś ca kharoṣṭrāś ca go-’śvāś ca mṛga-pakṣiṇaḥ
babhūvuḥ subhṛtās tatra nānyo hy anyam akalpayat
kuñjarāḥ ca = the elephants; khara-uṣṭrāḥ ca = donkeys, camels; go-aśvāḥ ca = cows, horses; mṛga-pakṣiṇaḥ = deer and birds; babhūvuḥ = were; subhṛtāḥ = fully satisfied and nourished [with the food given to them]; tatra = there; na anyaḥ hi = no one else; anyam = anything else; akalpayat = wanted.
The elephants, donkeys, camels, cows, horses, deer and birds were fully satisfied and nourished [with the food given to them]. No one else wanted anything else then.
The deer and birds had been brought by the soldiers for sport. “No one else wanted anything else” indicates that they did not want any foodstuffs other than what the sage had provided them with.
GLOSS. [The animals and birds] were fully satisfied, that is, their bellies were full. “No one else” refers to persons who had come there from other places and were there amidst Bharata’s army [at that time].
